Feel like you’re trapped on a content hamster wheel chasing elusive views, clicks and likes? Tired of having a comms plan shaped by what other teams want to share? Know you need to integrate and improve your supporter experience but not sure where to start? This is the training for you.As charity communicators we all know we need to be more audience-focused. But how many of us actually take the time to consider what people care about and put our insights into practice when it comes to our day-to-day communications and content? When it comes to recruiting and retaining supporters, it’s easy for busy teams to get stuck in a cycle of churning out content across our channels and hoping some of it sticks.Come along to find out how to stop broadcasting and start connecting to the people who care about your cause. Learn how to transform your content and communications to grow and retain the support you need to achieve your campaigning, fundraising and awareness-raising goals.

Who is the training for?

This training is designed for anyone who leads on content or communications strategy at a charity or not-for-profit, whether that’s fundraising, campaigning, marketing or all three. Your job title doesn’t matter, you just need to be in a role where you have responsibility for setting the strategy for content or communications in some way. Crucially, you should want to drive change in how your organisation does this.

Join us on Wednesday 13 and 20 November for two half-day online sessions. Learn how to develop a supporter value proposition that can help you and your team build truly rewarding relationships, including:- How to get curious about who you’re communicating with, find out what they care about and what you have in common, and use this to make strong connections that last.
- How to align your organisational objectives with your supporters’ needs and create a framework that delivers compelling content and communications every time – and saves you time and money too.
- How to take a supporter-focused (not organisational) approach to content and communications and feel empowered to take your team – and the rest of your organisation – on a journey towards this.

What will you take away?

- The foundations of a new strategy for building better, longer-lasting, more impactful supporter relationships, including the first version of supporter value proposition.
- Evidence, ideas and inspiration that empower you to create change in how your organisation approaches content and communications.
- Practical methods to help you bring people with you on a transformational journey.
- Connections with other charity communicators who are facing similar challenges and are determined to find solutions.
